Guest Favorites

Stone-Heated Saunas

Our stone-heated saunas are among the most loved amenities at Howling Wolf Resort — and for good reason.

In addition to being deeply relaxing, sauna use is known to support overall well-being. Many guests enjoy saunas for their potential benefits to relaxation, improved mood, circulation, skin health, and heart health. Whether you’re warming up after an adventure or simply taking time to unwind, the sauna experience adds an extra layer of comfort to your stay.

Imagine ending a long day of hiking and exploring by relaxing in the warmth of the sauna while looking out at the mountains under the Alaskan night sky.

Hand-Carved Wildlife Statues

Each of our glamping cottages is named after a different Alaskan animal, brought to life through a unique hand-carved wooden statue displayed at every entrance.

These custom carvings were created especially for us by Jamie, a local artist from Talkeetna, and each one adds its own personality and charm to the cottage it represents. Guests love discovering their animal, taking photos with it, and feeling the special character it brings to their stay. With 20 different wildlife designs across the property, every cottage has its own story and identity.

Surrounded by Mountains

Every glamping site at Howling Wolf Resort is surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and open Alaskan skies.

From peaceful mornings with a cup of coffee to quiet evenings by the fire, the scenery creates those unforgettable “wow, I’m really in Alaska” moments.
