MARINA MOTEL

The Marina Motel was established in 1956 with the original 11 Standard rooms, lobby, and manager’s quarters. This pre-dates Alaskan statehood and gives our motel an “Old Alaska” charm you won’t find at the name brand hotels. More rooms have been added to the original structure in recent years to accommodate the growing popularity of Seward as a tourist destination.

Great location and management

This hotel is about a 15 min walk into town - no big deal. I've seen a lot of bad reviews but am giving this hotel 5 stars for the fact that it's in a great location, the lady manager was so welcoming, and the beds/rooms were clean. We were here for 3 nights and didn't have any issues at all. I cannot fault this hotel or management as we appreciated her help and assistance for the few times we needed it. MUCH APPRECIATED.

Affordable, Clean Room, Friendly Staff

I was staying at this inn with a couple of friends in one of the ocean view rooms on the second floor. The room was nice and clean and the view from our private balcony was just amazing! The hotel was located in between small boat harbor and downtown, so everything was within walking distance. The young lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful, providing us with information on all sorts of activities and booking a Kenai Fjords boat tour for us with a 10% discount. I am definitely staying with them again!

Pleasant surprise for price...

I was pleasantly surprised with how nice my room and view was on the 2nd floor of Murphy's Alaskan Inn! The room seemed to be recently updated. My small balcony was perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning while loving the view of the bay and harbor. Front office staff was friendly and helpful. Price was unbelievable for all I got! Under $100 per night for after Labor Day.

Wonderful stay

I had a great time during our family vacation. The room was clean and service was inviting. We had a little kitchen with two burners, mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. I would recommend staying here.
